Boston Fashion Week 2011 Sip & Swap

Yet another awesome opportunity to swap your clothes for some new ones! The Swapaholics are holding the 2ND Annual Boston Fashion Week Sip + Swap this Thursday, September 29th.
The event will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Microsoft NERD Center, located at One Memorial Drive, 10th Floor in Cambridge.

Check out this link to see a video from last year and learn how it works. Also, visit Boston.com for more details.

FULL SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

6 to 7 pm
Registration opens & clothing donation window for the Swap. Drop off your bag of like-new clothing, accessories, shoes & jewelry with us so we can sort and add it to the pop-up swap on the 10th floor. (When the doors open at 8pm, it’s a free-for-all to get the good stuff, and first come, first served!)

6 to 7:45 pm
Sip on complimentary beverages from Magners Irish Cider while networking & tweeting with local fashion bloggers, editors, designers, social media mavens & startups. Social media & door prize contests begin. (10th floor)

8 pm SHARP
The clothing swap begins on the main floor (8th floor) and it’s a mad dash to find the best items from other Bostonians’ closets — along with brand new items hidden throughout the swap like buried treasure, donated by local sponsors.

8:30 to 9 pm
“Shop” our local fashion startup marketplace with demonstrations from a half a dozen mass-customization, e-commerce, shopping sites & mobile technology based in New England while noshing on complimentary snacks from our food sponsors.

9 to 10 pm
Fashion blogger/editor runway show featuring Swap Style — outfits created completely on-site during the night from clothing & accessories found at the Swap — sponsored by and MC’d by our media sponsor, followed by a few words from each of the local fashion startups and sponsors participating in the night’s event.
